Account Settings
To open Account Settings, open the user menu in the editor top navigation, then choose Account settings.
Account Settings is organised into panes:
Profile: display name, company name, job title (email and organisation are read-only).
Security (Password): change your password.
Security (Passkeys): add and remove passkeys.
Preferences: email notifications and live markdown rendering.
Integrations (AI clients): connect AI clients (see Editor MCP Server).
Danger zone: delete your account.
Your referral code lives under the Security (Password) pane.
Email notifications
Account Settings → Preferences → Notifications & editing decides which emails DeveloperHub sends you. These are personal settings covering every project you work on, not per-project ones:
Setting | What it controls |
|---|---|
New page comments | Told when a teammate comments on a page you watch. |
Feedback & surveys | Occasional surveys about the product. |
Broken links reports | Periodic reports of broken links across your projects. |
Low AI credits | A warning when a project you administer is running low on AI credits. |
Low AI credits only reaches you for projects where you are an admin, since buying credits and changing plan both need one.
Broken links reports can also be switched off for an entire project by one of its admins, in Advanced Settings. If that is done, you receive no report for that project even with this setting on.
Using Passkeys
Passkeys allow you to log into DeveloperHub editor securely without the need to enter your password. With passkeys, you can authenticate your identity using biometric data or device-based security features, making the login process faster and more convenient. This method enhances security by reducing the reliance on traditional passwords, which can be vulnerable to phishing and other attacks.
Before you can log in with a passkey, you need to add one from Account Settings → Security (Passkeys). Click Add passkey and follow the steps.
